The slopes in Alta Valtellina are among the best known in the entire Alpine region.
They are beautiful, technical and above all never crowded. From Bormio, Livigno, and Santa Caterina, starting at 3,000 meters, you can dive on simply perfect slopes with breathtaking views. It is no coincidence that the upcoming 2026 Olympics will see these resorts in the center of the spotlight all over the planet.
Of the slopes in Upper Valtellina, the Stelvio slope is the most technical, also recognized by the entire World Cup ski circuit. It offers pure excitement. The start is at an elevation of 2,255 m, above La Rocca. The course covers about 3,250 meters with an elevation gain of 1,010 m.
There is also no shortage of snow-parks, which are increasingly popular but also increasingly safe. The Oga-Valdisotto ski area is a paradise for those who enjoy ski mountaineering, a sporting activity that uses skis to carry out mountain ascents and excursions during the winter period-usually with a considerable difference in altitude-and off-piste descents.
